Dear QHC
Peace and Joy to you! Another Sunday has come and gone. For those of us who were able to worship God via QHC online, I trust that God’s presence met with yours. This is a season to experience the Triune essence of God’s characters of omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence.
It is my prayer that all of us are obeying the government’s and medical professionals’ strong advice to stay home and practice “social distancing”. Please do not wander about unnecessarily. This past week, a brother in Christ from a Chinatown church in my age group passed away within two days of contracting the virus. A retired pastor from my home church network contracted the virus from his family and passed. It speaks to the fragility of the human body and the need to obey guidelines.
QHC pastoral and ministry staff will not be going to the physical church building. We are reminded during this turbulent time that church is NOT a building, but a BODY of believers. If you find excess time beyond your working from home hours, I encourage you to read and /or watch useful and meaningful material. Spend time with your loved ones... call someone or video chat, all from the comfort of your home!
For those in the essential employee categories, please be safe and stay well. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
I want to remind everyone that there is an online prayer time via Zoom every morning at 8AM. The link is on the church website. Please join us as we lift our voices in one accord to the heavenly Father. In addition, there are many small groups who are gathering online for fellowship and prayer. I encourage all of us to pray within these small groups online, specifically Tuesday evenings at 7:45PM, our usual church prayer meeting time.
Finally, thank you for the faithfulness of those who have begun participation in the Tithe.ly QHC offering app (link is on the QHC website). Allow me to share Malachi 3:10 as an encouragement, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. ‘Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty,‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”’ This is the only time in Scripture that God says to his people, “Test Me!”
May the Blessings of God pour out upon you during this season.
